Chris Faraone is the editor and co-founder of Talking Joints Memo, a co-founder of the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism, and a longtime reporter for outlets including the Boston Phoenix and DigBoston. Originally hailing from New York, Chris ventured into journalism as a means to immerse himself in the vibrant nightclub scene of New York's Hip-Hop music culture during the 90s. He started his career as a music journalist and has been honored to collaborate with the likes of cannabis icons like Cypress Hill and Wu-Tang on book projects. Seeking further education and expertise, he transitioned to Massachusetts to pursue journalism studies at Boston University.
Since graduating, Chris has become a prominent figure in the cannabis community of Massachusetts. Talking Joints Memo initially began as a digital publication offering consumers comprehensive insights into all facets of the local cannabis industry. Evolving into a fully integrated website, it now features product reviews, investigative pieces, coverage of emerging brands, updates on cannabis-related events, and reports on legislative developments within the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC).
